Is Foundation Learning for me?

You can start Foundation Learning [FL] if you are not employed, have left school and are under the age of 19. You should also not be at school, college or in training. Even if you are 19-24 you could still start FL but your should contact Connexions Tyne and Wear for more advice.

How can FL help me?

FL aims to build up your confidence and skills. You will have the opportunity to experience work, and develop the kind of skills and attitudes that will make you employable.

Where can I start Foundation Learning [FL] in Newcastle?

A number of work-based learning providers now offer FL programmes. Why not go to the About Us section and fill in the coupon in the Contact Us area and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

How long do I stay on an FL programme?

There is no fixed length of time for an FL programme to last. You stay as long as you need to. At some point too another programme may be better for you than FL.
